  • About

On the shores of Moose Lake in the Chequamagon National Forest, you'll find Louie's Landing. Louie's has been here since the 1930s and has always been the meeting place for generations of families and friends for relaxation, food, fun and comradery.

From our front porch you'll enjoy Mother Nature at her finest. Inside you'll find a warm welcome, tasty homemade food, the beverage of your choice and friendly people.

Nine miles and 1700 acres of boating, fishing and fun water sports are there for you to enjoy. Moose is a Class A Muskie lake and also has ample populations of small mouth bass, crappie, walleye, and perch. Our boat launch is paved, with parking for trailers.

For land-lovers, it's a great starting point for finding the perfect hunting, hiking or motoring opportunity. Deer, elk, bear, grouse and more abound in the Chequamagon Forest. Four-wheelers and snowmobilers enjoy the many miles of trails that lead to Louie's.

Bikers and runners at varying speeds pass by, and nature lovers have the great beauty of Wisconsin's Northwoods to enjoy.

The expansive front lawn that leads down to Moose Lake is open to everyone. It's also home of the annual Moose Lake Fest, held on the first Saturday in August every year. You'll find a swimming beach and swim float plus outdoor seating for dining or just relaxing. A firepit for evening campfires and open space for kids to play is available. In winter, its the intersection of trail #5 and #21. Come and enjoy!
